Hi all,

So I've just managed to grab hold of a mobo bundle for £130 "never used"

Bundle Link
2x 4gb corsair ram xmx3 1600
Asus 970 motherboard
Amd fx-6300 black edition

As you can tell this is going to be pretty much low end/Mid Range so I don't want to blow my budget on a GPU if it's not getting utilized. I don't have specific games I only play I just want to get the most out of the system for as long as possible.

Any suggestions? I currently have a "Sapphire Dual-X Radeon R9 270X OC 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card with Boost" in my current system but will sell this to fund towards another card. I will be using 1 monitor 22" as for Power I have a seasonic 1200watt so there will be no issues with power.

Thanks.

Anything like the GTX 1060 6Gb or RX480/580 would be good for your setuo however etheruem mining has made these parts much more expensive then they are worth. You may have to wait for the prices to come down, unless something like a GTX 1050Ti or RX460/560 are good enough.

stock speed, you already are at max gpu to pair with it with a 270x

if you got it overclocked 4.5ghz or better, then you can get a rx 470/rx 570

So my main priority now it to get some cooling solutions for the CPU and focus on overclocking it to 4.5 before buying a card. I will start looking into it.

The 1060 3gb are a nice chunk of change but could be something I can save towards, I would want to air cool this, it seems that this CPU can be clocked pretty east to 4.5 with custom air cooling.

I have my eye on a second hand NH-U14S but not quite sure, not build a PC for many years so really out of date with all this. Any suggestions on a good cooler for this CPU to get to the 4.5? quite a lot of stuff out there

That's a good CPU cooler. Definitely a perfect match with your CPU I'd say pull the trigger. You can even get a second fan and make it a push pull. From what I've read it's close to the dh-14 in performance. Good luck and happy over clocking.
