Okay i know Alienware is a little over-priced but i got it for free.
It is an Alienware 17 with 32 gig ram,
an Intel Core i7-4910MQ CPU @ 2.90GHz
and ofcoarse the GTX 880M (8gig)
Nothing is overclocked, previous owner was my tafe teacher who hardly gamed on it.
So it seems it's mostly the ALPHA games i have troubles with, GTA 5 on max settings works fine.
Rust and Player Unknown Battlegrounds are the only two so far i have problems with.
I could be gaming fine with good temps and something will render in the distance and freeze my game, sounds still work, windows still works (can alt-tab) will get a Nvidia has stopped responded and successfully recovered.
After that i have to restart the game etc.
it's rare for this to happen but i get coloured lines all over my screen/desktop sometimes, i was able to capture the event on record.
