It all started a few days ago when I took out 2 sticks of ram. Usually i run 4 x 8GB of Corsair Vengeance 2400MHz DDR3 ram in XMP, after i turn it on and raise a few voltages its boots up fine. But like i said above i took out 2 sticks of ram to where its 2 x 8GB now and if i do anything above 1600MHz the motherboard will not save settings and POST, I tried everything I normally do even clearing CMOS, running memtest etc it just will not enable. Motherboard is an ASUS Z97-E/USB 3.1, also on a side note, since I couldn't set xmp to 2400 during gaming my screen randomly flickers every 15-45 seconds or so, anyone have any ideas? Rest of my specs are in my sig if needed.

Alright so update: I can change it above 1600mhz but it will not post with RAM voltage higher than 1.5v. 1.51, will not post, 1.55v nope etc. Am i missing disabling a CPU feature or something? Or is my motherboard just being stupid.
