My PSU CPU cable does not match my MOBO CPU connector?

I just found out that the pins on my cpu cable coming from the power supply, dont match the ones they are supposed to be plugged into on the motherboard.

Cable PSU (Corsair cx550m):
o■oo
■ooo
Motherboard (Asus prime b350 plus):
■oo■
o■■o

The motherboard seems to be eatx while the psu is atx, I've already read multiple different threads saying that eatx goes fine with atx (and the other way around). Is it thus ok to plug o in a ■?
And if not what should i do? get a totally different psu or try to get an adapter?

If the cable has 8 wires going from each end to each end then you're fine, maybe you can't see the pins but they are in there. It only plugs in one way, plug it in that way. If it is missing wires then its defective and Corsair should replace it.

I'm pretty sure I have the right one, the cable from the PSU says cpu on the side and its the only 8 pin connecter on the mobo (top lefts die btw)
