I have a PC with a Lenovo is6xm motherboard and i am looking into upgrading my graphics card from a Nvidia Geforce GT 710 to a Nvidia GTX 1050. I want to know if it will work and if there will be any problems or anything else i need to upgrade. My CPU is a Intel i5-2500S with 16GB RAM.

Solution
yes as long as a motherboard has a pci express x16, it will work with any modern gpus, but i wouldnt put a gtx 1080 in a cheap motherboard like that, a 1050 is fine

I just finished an old Lenovo ThinkCentre MT upgrade to a Q9550 quad core and this GTX 1050 Ti. Plays Doom 2016 at 1080p, Ultra @ 50-90 fps using the Vulkan API. I imagine the GTX 1050 will only be slightly less than that. And your CPU is at least as strong as the Q9550.

But you never mentioned the Lenovo case this will go in. Is it a MT or SFF?
