Getting a new processor

Okay, so I had recently bought the GTX 1080 founders edition and had installed it. I knew it would bottleneck my FX 8350, but I didn't know it would that much.
I'm looking for a new processor, I prefer to keep with AMD, and with the AM3+ socket. Is there a better processor out there that would support my 1080 that isn't ryzen, or Intel?

no the one you have got is already the best cpu for am3+

that means you want a ryzen 1700, or at least 1500x

The best value CPU right now is arguably the Ryzen R5 1600. There are no upgrades for AM3+.

There's the FX 9590 but it's really just an overclocked FX 8350. You could overclock to reach the same performance if your motherboard is up for it unless you got an unlucky badly oc'ing chip. I highly recommend overclocking if you have a motherboard with an 8+2 phase vrm. If not then just use your system as is until you can go intel or Ryzen.
