Yes, thanks for the reply, hang-on-the-9, [I like your handle]. I disassembled the unit enough to get access to the switch (kind of a pain), traced the wires back to the plug to the board and used a short section of small gage wire to momentarily short the two switch wires, as would occur if the switch were working, and actuated. The unit started right up, whereas simply depressing the switch caused no changes. Then, with power disconnected and the switch exposed, I shot the switch full of WD-40, depressed it a dozen times, hooked up the power and pushed the switch again, and the unit started right up. If I cannot get a new switch that has been shown to work, then I will just live with the one I have, and hope I don't have to lube it up again any time soon.
