I have this problem with my PC. I tried using complete internet repair, completely scanned malware and adware (all clean now) and Kaspersky is currently running but still I cant access the internet on any browser or other applications - however I can ping websites like Google.

tried the winsock reset still no luck, uninstalled the network driver and restarted still the same. After some time, Mozilla gives up connecting it says "Secure Connection Failed".

Ok now I have decided to reset my windows 10, my applications were deleted but still I cant access the internet. I'm losing hope, maybe the nic is bad?

Update: I have double checked my cables using my rj45 tester, all seems to connect but the problem still persists.

Date and Time is set but still cant access

Solution
the problem I have with this is that , if you can ping google. you are connected to the internet.
so it is a browser issue you having, which brings me to your comment earlier about malwate (all clean now) that leads me to think you had an infection before, which in itself is very revealing as a lot of malware foirst line of attack is using a proxy attack, you cleaning the issues, doesn't reset the proxy access , and now your unable to reach the proxy...

make sure any browser window is closed.
go to all settings, then type " proxy" select " change proxy settings"
should be set to automatic, no setup script, no manual proxy, then save (down the page) reboot computer and try getting on the internet again
this will work for internet...

this will work for internet explorer or edge , I am not familiar with chrome.

PS: if this doesn't work, it could be a firewall rules issue (all setting , firewall, reset settings save, reboot)

Thank you for the response, but I got it figured out thru the help of others, here is the fix:

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /flushdns

ipconfig /registerdns

restart pc then viola I can access the internet again,.. I wonder what caused this kind of problem?
