I recently upgraded from an amd fx 6300 to an i7 7700k, got a new motherboard and went from 8 gigs of ddr3 to 16 gigs of ddr4. I still have my old gtx 950 until the graphics card prices come down, but should i expect my frames to go up at all? Since the upgrade all of my fps are basicly the same and my fps with the i7 jump up and down a lot more. Is this normal since I lack gpu power or is there an issue?

No, I didn't. How would I do this and what would it do? Sorry, but I'm not very smart when it comes to pc's.

It's considered best practice and even though you *can* frequently get away with it, it can cause subtle, long-term issues. Given that you're feel like you're actually *having* an issue, beyond a weak GPU I'd certainly clean install at this point.

Not quite sure what you're asking. A clean install means to do a full, clean, install of Windows.

Sorry about that. When I first booted up my pc I had to put the windows disk in because it said there was an error loading windows. After I put the disk in it worked again. Is that what you mean?

You might notice some, but you are still limited by your GPU. A 950 is really a budget card, borderline gaming card. A 960 would be a gaming card. 30 and 40 levels, pure budget. a 50 is somewhat of a go between. And a 60 up is for gaming. So with a 950 you probably won't see much FPS improvement with the better CPU and memory. That being said, you will likely be able to run more intense games though, just don't expect huge FPS.
