Is 85 Degrees on i5-6600k with prime95 an OK temperature?

The latest versions of Prime95 put an unrealistic load on your CPU, and is not recommended. The only thing it will indicate is how hot your CPU will get with a "power virus" program running, and will not reflect anything you'd actually run on your PC. What are your temps when using your PC normally?

That said, 85c is still safe. Intel warranties these CPUs to run stably and reliably at up to 100c, and you basically never hear about CPU failure caused by temperature. If you were to start overclocking, that's another matter, because it's a combination of temperature and voltage that can (over long periods of time) harm a CPU.

I will let you know the temps when using computer while gaming or editing or doing some normal stuff. I just OC'ed this morning and was not sure of temps I was getting.
Yesterday, I was getting 70C while gaming on non-OC Processor.

THanks for the quick reply.

Do it man.Let it burn!

No I meant I'm not worried about any damage at stock settings. But I do worry about the future when i won't be able to overclock without upgrading my cooler.

What cooler are you planning to upgrade to if you would?

Well the one I like the most is the NZXT Kraken X62. It's a 280mm Liquid AiO. Not all cases support a 280mm, in which case I'd suggest the X52 240mm.

Other great air coolers I'd upgrade to IF my case fit them:

Cryorig R1
be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3
I would mention Noctua NH-D15 but I hate the color.
