Hi all, Just purchased a Core I7-7700k and have Asus B150 pro gaming/aura motherboard, I have updated the bios to make this board and cpu compatible with each other but now my games like cities skylines and watch dogs(the first one) either not load or crash after a while during gameplay. Is there anything else I could do or would I need to upgrade my board? I upgraded from a core i7 6700 non K and didn't have any issues with that processor.
Thanks.

Solution
Is the processor correctly identified as a 7700K during POST/BIOS operations?

YOu might have to completely reset the CMOS/BIOS to swap processors, as Windows often does not take kindly to CPU swaps...

It is identified as being the core i7-7700K in the control panel under system, but just wondering if one of the components is still thinking its the 6700 and is making the system unstable when trying to load games. I did have a few problems with gta v when i installed the new cpu but that seems to of ironed itself out now just some other games thats the problem
