I just built my high end gaming pc. When i turn the power on the computer begins to boot normally but will not boot past the screen to enter BIOS with DEL or F2 unless i unplug my USB keyboard. The mouse works fine. And the keyboard works (sometimes) after i unplug it and it boots normally to my desktop. When the keyboard is working it will suddenly stop working in the middle of gaming. Happened while playing GTA V and DOOM. The keyboard works fine when i plug it into a different computer and even works when i plug it into my PS4.
I have a ASUS Z270E motherboard and windows 10. My BIOS is the latest version.
If i can get into the BIOS is there any suggestions of things i should change to resolve the problem? Thanks

If the keyboard works fine on one rig, not another, things get not pretty once you run into anomalies where it works 'sometimes' with one mainboard and not another...

If it's currently in a USB3 port, try a simply USB 2 port in the rear....

You can yell at mainboard manufacturers and keyboard manufacturers , point fingers, but, ultimately, you'll either replace the keyboard, or, choose another type....for the interest of solving it quickly...

Thanks for answering. I have it plugged in a usb 2 port. I unplugged the keyboard and let it boot up. Then I plugged it in and it took several minutes before I heard the sound of it connecting. I'm typing this while using the keyboard. However, idk when it will decide to disconnect and its also really inconvenient to have to plug and unplug it every time I start up
I'm trying to avoid buying a new keyboard and it works fine with other computers. what do you think is causing the problem? Thanks
