NAS Build Question

This probably sounds generic but I am going to build a NAS and need some advice. I mainly want something that can stream media to my pcs, hold documents, and backup important files, while it itself is backed up nightly to my iDrive account--it'll be mostly so I can have everything in one place instead of spread all over my computers.
What I am curious about is whether or not I would benefit from using ECC memory in this nas since I will be backing it up to a cloud service?
Also, for streaming 1080p videos, itunes videos, and maybe some 4k content, music, and etc. could I go with a low power integrated dual core celeron? Or, would I be better off with a more powerful socketed cpu?
Thank You.

You do not need ECC memory. The CPU does not matter too much, but you want a decent amount of RAM and a fast hard drive. I would not use the cheapest CPU you can find, but a decent modern CPU would be OK. Probably something like an A4 would be enough or a Pentium. I don't like Celerons much, they are a bit neutered.

Thanks. But, I heard AMD cpus don't play well with FreeNas and other nas software, so I was going to go with an intel build. If you know of any software that plays well with AMD I can get an a8-5545(m?) board fr a good price. If not, would a G3930 celeron be ok? I know it isn't going to be all that power efficient, but for the price of an embedded j3455 board I can get the celeron and a decent mobo. And I was mainly considering the G3930 as it is about half the price of the g4400 where I am for just 15% lower performance.
Sorry for the extra questions. Thanks again.

Thanks. This is going to be just a NAS for me mainly, and some family backup. But, 99% for me. Anyway, I already got the g3930 cause I found it for a good sale.

Thank You all for your advice and help.
