Is BIOS version specified on the box?

Hi

I'm planning to get a Gigabyte H110M-H and a i3 7110 Kabylake. I know the H110M-H needs BIOS F20 to work with the 7110, but is the BIOS version supposed to be printed on the box?

Thanks

On older boards they used to have the shipped bios version on the label, but as I checked some socket 775 motherboard boxes and up it seems this has not been in practice for a long time. There might be a new sticker on the box that says supports Kaby Lake.

It would be extremely rare to see it printed on the box.

With 100 chipsets, some may well be labelled as "KabyLake Ready" or similar, but I wouldn't bank on it.

Best bet would be to it won't support it out of the box and plan accordingly (ie H270 or B250)

I've never seen the BIOS version on a motherboard box. Once you boot up, you'll see the version on the BIOS screen. If it won't go into BIOS, I guess that gives you the answer. May need a computer shop's help in putting in a CPU that will boot and then update the BIOS.
