Im running a Lenovo desktop. I upgraded an older HDD by cloning it using Macrium Reflect Free edition. The clone showed succesfull. I then installed a new SSD drive and a clean Windows 10 Pro install on the SSD. Once that was installed I reinstalled the cloned drive. The clone was from my original C:drive that had the previous OS (W10 Home) and a ton of data. (950GB).
So, I installed only new SSD, nstalled fresh W10 Pro. All running well. Then I installed the cloned drive.
The drive shows up in explorer and also in disk management, but I'm missing all the files I want. MY DOCUMENTS, MY PICTURES, etc. I see windows folders and other system files, plus a few data folders, many empty. Nothing that I expected under my user file.
I'm not sure whatto do. Does this have to do with permissions? Under previous OS, I had an admin account with PW and a General user account (no PW) that was used mainly and saved all the data I now need.
Any help and advice on how to get access to those files would be greatly appreciated. Im almost ertain they are on the drive. It shows a lot more used data than the files showing in explorer and it was a successful clone.
Thanks!
