TLDR;

so first my specs
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz
gigabyte GTX 1070
16 GB corsair domiantor RAM
corsair ML140 Pro 140mm fans
corsair Hydro Series H100i AOI cooler
Maximus VIII Hero Intel Z170 mobo
windows 10

so basically if i were to try playing a game such as dying light (a reasonably old game that my pc should handle just fine) my fans would get obnoxiously loud and my cpu temp will soar to over 70° (i use corsair link to monitor fans and temps). even loading a web page in chrome will get a huge response from the fans and my temps will hit around 50°, now im not all that good with pc's but i know thats not right. any help will be greatly appreciated.

if i left anything out please tell me so i can add it

Solution
1, if your cpu soars over 70, is nothing to worry, if it soars over 80'c it is something to worry about if it soars over 90. shut it down right away.
2. 50 is normal operating temps.
3. the fan noises due to high spin rate, this is normally controlled on a curve based on temperature levels on cpu. Your corsair link software should be able to change this perhaps not, not sure not knowledgeable of this software.
4. I am wondering if your cpu heatsink paste is not properly applied or too thick or to thin, because with a H100i (240mm radiator) your cpu should not reach over 70 very easily. and if the past is verified and reapplied and it continues, it could be air in the system, perhaps...

Ive noticed that my cpu gets slightly warmer and my fans kick into high when ever corsair link is running on my pc, ive tried performance, balanced and quiet mode, i think the program is just messed up and i do not use it at all. uninstall corsair link and see if that does anything. also make sure you have good thermal paste and your heatsink is free of dust.
