I was replacing a screen on the laptop. I forgot to connect the wifi cables, and they were touching the board when it was put back into the case when i powered it on it sparked and smoked.. I pulled the wifi cables off the board did not see any damage, no video on the newly installed laptop screen..

So for some reason i unplugged the vga cable from the monitor and plugged it into the laptop and powered it on, and i noticed the pcs fans (video card, aux1, aux2, and CPU) all started spinning insanely fast (but the pc was powered off) ( i hate my self)

The laptop still works, but the audio chip is were the smoke comes from, and audio won't work in chrome os it just hums, I cannot see any damage on the PC or the video card, but when anything 3d is displayed the PC will say "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" and the 3d app crashes, is there any fix?

I did reinstall the drivers, and it was fine for a few, it randomly crashed today when the computer was idle i came to the pc to discover the screen was white and when i moved the mouse it gave me the screensaver stopped responding.

I was kinda spooked, thought it was finished being a video card but i tried playing a few games and it seems to be running good. but something is wrong i never did anything like that before and im not sure what to expect in the future thanks for the reply :)
