I have one SATA II hard-drive on a Dell Optiplex GX520 2.8GHz Pentium 4 Intel computer. I will add a 2nd one.

Just curious if I just need to go into the BIOS and simply make sure it knows this. I also wonder - how will the motherboard "KNOW" which hard-drive is the original one, and which is the new one? I don't think I need jumpers or do I?

Just wondering how this will work.

Ok, I now realize that the top (original drive) has a blue data cable, and the new drive will have a red data cable. They will be powered by P3 (the new one), and P5 (the original). So I guess the separate data cables will help the motherboard. Hopefully, the operating system will then "KNOW" through some driver iding system or something. Like disk(0)part..., disk(1)part or some such.
