So I'm building my first ever PC and I just want to make sure that I'm choosing the right components, including the right PSU. So, what wattage would you guys recommend me getting for the following build? Is 550W enough (or too much)?

Cpu: AMD FX-8350
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M PLUS/USB3
RAM: 8 GB
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
Storage: 1TB WD 7200rpm

Thanks in advance!

Yes; a quality 500W is more than sufficient; however, keep in mind that wattage is not the most important statistic. The important statistic is the total continuous current rating on the +12V rail(s).

Simplest way is to stick to reputable brands like SeaSonic if you don't want to do that calculation. Even if you do, you should stick to reputable brands. The power supply is the most important unit in the system, since it is connected to all other components.

What other parts have to bought? Because an FX cpu is a bad investment today and should be avoided. The cpu and motherboard combo is also problematic as those boards use a weak VRM setup and are likely to cause the CPU to throttle under load.
