first pc build and me overlooking things i thought the only compatibility for ram that mattered was what ddr it was and the mhz of the thing, well colour me surprised when i was looking throught the internet as to why my graphics card was not being recognised (and going through a million different things) i came upon a link about compatibilty and noticed my ram wasn't compatible for my pc

i had been using this pc though, when i placed the ram in the slots they were supposed to go (a2 and b2) nothing worked, or if i just put one in a2, but if i put them in b1 and b2 they worked ? so i just thought my motherboard had come with some weird uniqueness to it, so do you think the incompatible ram could dause a gpu not to be recognised ? and them being in the wrong slot ? (i hope so because i would rather buy some new ram than a new motherboard)

You are not really asking the right question here. Instead of focusing in one one thing which may or may not be the right thing to look at, list your exact issue and your exact parts. So far your issue is that your graphics card is not being recognized, which has pretty much 0 to do with the RAM. Not being recognized how? System does not boot? Or it only shows you VGA graphics and you can't install the drivers.

Start at the beginning, exact issue, your parts and what you tried already to fix it.
