There is the possibility it could overheat/die. I'd suggest giving the system plenty of ventilation. It also wouldn't hurt to replace the thermal paste on the GPU with something like 'Grizzly Kryonaut'. It's fancy, high end thermal paste meant for people who overclock/watercool their systems. Using it would benefit you regardless.

That should be fine. I'd still check in on the system from time to time to make sure it's still running ok.
