Hi all,
I've got 2 of Samsung 960 EVO Series - 250GB PCIe NVMe - M.2 Internal SSD (MZ-V6E250BW) as the boot drives in RAID 0. SATA ports 5 & 6 on the z270 Pro Carbon mobo are unavailable however. I have read that using a SATA controller for M.2 SSD drives disables 2 SATA ports but didn't think that was the case if the PCI-express controller was used for running M.2 in NVME. Can anyone verify that using the M.2 drives in NVME PCI-express will disable 2 SATA ports? I've contacted MSI Support today and they said that it does but I've found no other sources online confirming that.

Solution
1. Under Specifications, it specifically says to refer to the User Manual to determine what conflicts there may be between the m.2 port and PCI-e and SATA ports.

What does your user manual say? Lets look...:)
pg 33
If M2_1 and M2_2 are both populated with PCIe drives, SATA5 and SATA 6 are disabled.

2. You realize you're not really gaining anything with RAID 0 with those 2 drives, right?

Thanks for the reply. I posted to tom's because, frankly, neither MSI support rep sounded sure about what they were telling me.
