While gaming Display turn black, GPU fans spinning

Hi guys I have a RX460,
This evening while i was playing a game, suddendly the display turned black, and the GPU fans kept spinning.
The PC was actually on, with keyboard and mouse, all operatives... but i can't see anything.

Would this be a GPU overheating problem?
How could I avoid it? I was only playing for an hour or less...

Make sure you plugged the video cable in correctly. If it's fine, try using integrated graphics to see if it will do the same thing. if it doesn't, then there's something wrong with the GPU.

The GPU is new and the drivers are updated.
Every now and then the screen flashes black while gaming.
The integrated graphics works because when it shut with his fan spinning the pc was still running.
I tried installing MSI Afterburner and see if helps in case of overheating...

I hope the GPU is not already faulty...
