Hi guys, wondering if you can help. I've built a simple rig for a friend. He doesn't game, no graphics card was necessary so I just planned on using the motherboards on board graphics. However, I'm receiving no display on the monitor from DVI, VGA or HDMI.

The board didn't come with a speaker, so unfortunately I have no beeps for feedback. I also tried swapping the RAM sticks out to no avail. The CD Drive works, mouse powers on but keyboard does NOT power on. Could this indicate anything? So I have no idea if the BIOS is even loading. I'd appreciate any ideas you think could help.

My rig is:

- Gigabyte F2A68HM-HD2 Motherboard
- Corsair 450W
- HyperX FURY Series 4GB DDR3 1866MHz
- AMD APU A8 7650K Black Edition

Many thanks

You need to get a speaker to properly diagnose this, however you could start by making sure its not a shorting issue, breadboard the system by placing the mobo on a cardboard box, you can use the mobo's box for this and see if the problem persists.

Thanks for the suggestion. I breadboarded the motherboard, nothing in it but the 1x RAM stick and the CPU and the two motherboard power plugs (20pin and 6pin) and the power switch jumper cable. The system starts, CPU fan spins, still no display.

I also tried taking the CMOS battery out and putting it back in as I heard suggestions about that working. Nothing is working, i've swapped the RAM.. the only thing I've not tried is with a different CPU because I don't have a compatible spare. The motherboard and other components are brand new, I struggle to see how they could be damaged.

I'm on the verge of returning all these components to amazon and purchasing a pre-build for my friend because this is just becoming a never ending problem.
