How do I connect a headset to msi gtx1050ti? I want to use a headset on games online like sniper elite 4 but I don't know how to run it through the gpu and also can I still have sound though Hdmi? I have a wired 360 controller Is there anyway to run it through this as I like to play games on the couch am about 10 foot away from my pc,

My sincerest of apologies, I was in auto-pilot mode. Your GPU does support onboard sound. HDMI should work fine through it. However that depends on your headset. Your HDMI will be transmitting to your monitor I presume, so you'll need another jack from your headset to your PC / Monitor.

Complete retard moment from me...

Additionally if you're saying you have a WIRELESS Xbox controller, my understanding is that WON'T work without an adaptor. You need a fully wired xbox controller.

Edit: and yes, HDMI audio output has much greater potential.

I have inboard sound... But turned It off so if I enable this then run it through the jacks or look into 360 compatibility and on gpu it does have jacks for audio?

XBOX 360 controller has to be a complete plug and play and you require the microsoft software add-on I believe, thats all. You'll still need to plug in a headset jack into the PC.

I may only be referring to Windows 7. Worst case jsut plug in your controller and see if your computer automatically downloads the right drivers. Windows 10 may simply be plug and play, I just know that in previous OS you needed Microsoft Games software.

The software (if required) will effectively install drivers and give your PC the ability to actually be able to communicate with the device.
