Hi all,

Recently put together my new PC, setup everything turned PC on and it booted. Fans spin, LED's are on but it won't post. There is no signal going to my monitor.

Specs:
i7-7700K
Asus Strix Z270e Motherboard
Strix GTX 1080 GPU
16GB (2x8) G.Skill Trident Z RGB RAM
250GB 850 EVO SSD

I must also add that I'm using a DVI-VGA connector to connect the GPU to my monitor.
I've tried re-seating the RAM, re-seating the GPU, checking all the connectors and still nothing.
I tried adding a speaker to the motherboard and there are no beeps when it turns on.
Do I have a faulty motherboard?

Solution
You can try. If the problem is the motherboard and the replacement fixes it, then great! If it's not the motherboard, then you're back at square one because there's no guarantee that the new motherboard works unless someone else tested it and confirms it.

I tried that, still wouldn't post. I even swapped the RAM around and still nothing.

First, ground yourself so you're not frying components. Take the motherboard out of the case. Put it on top of the box that the motherboard comes in. Make sure the CPU, CPU cooler, one RAM module, and the PSU are connected. Do not need the GPU or SSD/HDD. Connect it to a monitor.

The problem can be anywhere within those components. The motherboard and CPU are the hardest to verify. The RAM is pretty simple, assuming you have at least ONE working stick and one working RAM slot on the motherboard. Just take one RAM module and plug it into one of the 4 slots. Try each slot. If none works, try the other RAM stick. Make sure that the computer is not powered on when you're touching the components.

If you've tried all slots on the motherboard with both RAM sticks and still cannot POST, then your issue can be the CPU, motherboard, or RAM. Unless you have a backup set of compatible RAM from a working computer that you can use to test, it's hard to verify faulty RAM. If RAM is not the issue, then it's the motherboard or CPU. From those options, you would need another compatible motherboard or CPU in order to narrow it down.

I currently can't exchange the RAM, Motherboard or CPU right now. My best bet is to exchange the motherboard for another one. I forgot to mention that the USB ports on the back I/O or the front I/O even though they're all connected. Unless the Keyboard and Mouse won't turn on after Post.
