yea you do realize it was ONLY running 1 core NOT all 8 so that is pointless. 1 8GHZ core is not more powerful than 8 3.5 GHZ cores.

FX was never better than intel ever (At least not against their i5's and up) and defiantly not a good buy today. I mean for a cheap build sure but you need good cooling for the FX CPU's though. My H110i playing games has a hard time keeping my 4.5Ghz Overclocked on all 8 cores cool even idle anymore.

If you want to do some solid overclocking go for the FX-9590. Oh god, remember having 6GHz on that.
But seriously, don't waste your money on FX's, much more affordable to go with an Intel-K Edition, as they are actually meant for overclocking.

Not unless you are going to run a liquid nitrogen set up. If so, that chip will still no longer hold any world records. The fx is a dying platform. Either go Ryzen or something from Intel. No one is going to reccomend the CPU you suggested.

A 9590?
Might as well just do this:

I have had a 8320 OC'ed to 4.5 on a H100i for almost 3 year now without issue. Even with a full 1 GHz over normal stock (not including boot) that chip still never came close to the intel's of 3 year ago. I just bought it because i needed better and a CPU, Mobo, SSD, Water Cooler, RAM, and PSU cost me the same as a i5 + Good Motherboard at the time. It is still great to me to this day as I don't game as much anymore so no need for more power.

Mind linking to a specific result? Instead of making us look around.

And 8GHz? I'm assuming this is the OC for the CPU?
For how long? Doing that for 3 minutes on LN2 is absolutely meaningless, except for epeen waving.

SMH. Yea i got a FX 8320 still with a GTX 960 4GB and I'm starting to see the slower FPS in newer games. I still don't need to upgrade but still won't says go and buy a FX CPU. I mean the only good thing about them is they are cheap as hell now lol
