Hello I would like answers ASAP. I was just browsing the web on my computer and I look down at my phone and open up snapchat and I instantly continue browsing. Then I look back down in a minute and my phone screen shows random colors, a bit like those TV Screens with bad reception. All it could do was stay on that screen or fade in and out of it (between the screen and a black solid image). I go and take off the back of the phone and I notice a little bit of water on the bottom left side... it was a bit near the battery but not exactly. Its a motorola g4 and its my first phone I got it a few months ago. Anyone can help? This original image comes from google images and this is about as much as i can get of an image to show the back cover. I did my best to show where the battery is and where the spill was (indicated by colors corresponding to text colors). Additional note: after I turned the phone off it didn't power back on.

Hard to say, let it dry out for at least two days, and then try rebooting it, it might be okay, it might have a damaged screen (replacable) or it could be toast.
If you can take out the battery do so, but if it is stuck in, then just leave it in, and do not charge it or turn it on until after two days.

I just randomly heard it make a sound as if it were getting a text message.
The display must be broken.
I also heard it vibrate by trying to turn it off by holdign down power button,

UPDATE: after hearing it turn off with the vibrate.. I heard another text sound effect after a few minutes.
What is going on? By the way, I removed the sim card right after i noticed this. Probably just the same sound for something else.
UPDATE 2: I held the power button again and got another vibrate. I heard the same sound later again.

well a display is at least replaceable, that would imply your data is okay at least. I would really not try powering it up right now though, any power going through it could cause further problems if there is any water left in there.

I hope it is just the display.

It is likely messed up due to the water still being around. I had my flip phone do the same after I pulled it out of the washing machine, it kept ringing and acting weird, so I shut it off and let it dry for two days. It is really important that it is off.

I do not know if it is off that is a big problem right now. Whenever i heard that sound that is the same sound of a text message i attempt to "turn it off". I hear a vibrate indicating it turns off/it turns on (i get a vibrate for both). Then I hear the same sound later. Pretty much over and over again.

You really don't want any power to the phone when it likely still has a moisture problem.. you could just end up doing more damage. You want to get the battery out right away ! Next you want to dry it as best you can.. Take out as much stuff from the phone as you can (battery, SIM card, SD card) and remove the backplate if it's not too hard to do. Next you want to put the phone in to an airtight baggie of uncooked rice. The rice will draw moisture out of the phone. Leave it in there for 2-3 days.

I keep telling you guys the same things over and over again.
By the way, Motorola has a thing where when you do a chop action twice fast it turns on flashlight. It worked. I attempted to "turn it off again" and the flashlight thing still works.
Putting a broken display in rice wouldnt do anything.
I am starting to think that Holding the power siomply restarts the phone.

For christ's sake is it making heat?

Electronics that are turned on tend to produce heat ...

The reason we are so interesting in making sure the device is turned off is because if you short out a lithium ion battery the battery has a tendency to catch fire like the Galaxy Note 7.

Saying I dunno lets move on is quite literally playing with fire.

Well to be honest... I don't know.
Honestly, I dont know what the phone feels like when it is powered and when it isn't. I don't really ever feel or at least recognize heat in my phone when im doing not very cpu heavy things.
