I have build a pc in this week and just getting everything started. I was gaming and started to seem like it was slowing down, and I knew that my pc could handle the game. I downloaded CPU-Z to check the Core Speed and I noticed that the CPU was at a low 800 MHz, and it stayed their. I didn't know what to do and I want your help. Please Help Me.

Solution
So, in summary, minor false alarm w/ processor behavior during idle vs. heavy loads...

No problem, everyone makes minor mistakes, glad it was not an actual hardware problem!

Enjoy that 7700K!
Top three reasons for that are thermal throttling (downclocking to prevent overheating), power management settings (power saving modes), and the LN2/Slow boot dipswitch/jumper on the mobo accidently set to ON for the purposes of validating with a supercooled (such as liquid nitrogen) CPU.

I was looking throughout the forums and fixed the problem, yes it is a msi and I know why this happens. It is running good now while running games, thanks for the reply though

For you asking how I fixed it I was just a noob and didn't know that msi mobo clock down when they are not doing anything. So I ran a game and it was good. Sorry if that doesn't fix it I am not good with computers and I don't know.
