Hello there. I have a question regarding the needed wattage for my computer. I'll post here the build :
CPU : i7-7800X
Mobo : Asus TUF Mark 1 x299
RAM : G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB DDR4 16GB DDR4 3200MHz
SSD : Samsung 850 EVO 500Gb
I'm of course planning to add more RAM and eventually a M2 SSD. I'll do some overclocking.
I was wondering if 650W were enough, in particular an EVGA SuperNova G3.
Thanks a lot!

Yes, that is more than enough for your needs.

That 650W will also support a 1080 or a 1080Ti with plenty left over for more SSDs, HDDs and M.2 drives with more than enough fans for any case as well as the OC'ing of your GFX card and CPU.

Why so much RAM?

650W is extreme overkill for what you have listed. is there a 1080Ti hiding somewhere?

It's helpful when asking question to let us know relevant info like what you plan on using this PC for. VMs? Editing?
CAD? Apart from the excessive PSU we might see some other issue.

Oh sorry, i forgot to mention that the GPU is a GTX 1070 Custom. Would a 650W be enough with a i7 7800X with some OC?
I use the pc for gaming, rendering, heavy IDEs and university stuff.
Thanks for your answers.
