Me and my dad (he's an electrician) were building my first PC yesterday. Haven't yet tried to turn it on because I want to make sure everything is 100% in place. We were putting the CPU cooler on after applying thermal paste. By his recommendation, I went with three small lines. However, I think while we were mounting it, because the screws were so awkward, the CPU cooler touched down onto the CPU and then it was lifted back off again momentarily. Is this significant enough to warrant a reapplication of thermal paste?
Not that it makes any difference but I don't plan on OCing right now. The whole thing is all fitted together now so it would be quite difficult to reapply it... not impossible though. Any advice would be great.
