So I am building my first ever PC, specifically for gaming, and wasn't sure if what I'm planning to get is best bang for buck. Looking to play games like LoL, PUBG and Destiny 2 (when it releases) at high quality FPS. This is my planned setup:
Ryzen 1600 (comes with CPU cooler) CPU
Saphire NITRO- RX 580 Gaming 8GB GPU
Gigabyte GA AB350 GAMING 3 ATX AM4 Motherboard
Deepcool ATX mid tower Tesseract SW
(already own a M.2 SSD)
G.skill ripjaws V series 8GB DDR4-2400 2x4GB RAM
Fractal design Integra M 550W power supply
logitech G213 PRODIGY keyboard
AOC G2460PF 24inch 1080p FreeSync monitor.
and here is part picker link if any easier.

Was also wondering what the deal with FreeSync/G Sync was. is it worth buying a monitor at 144hz with FreeSync? Or is just a cheaper 60/75 Hz monitor the better option.
Thanks

For 144 fps gaming you need 3000/3200 RAM with ryzen. Right now most motherboards supports 3000/3200 RAM, also i would recomend 16GB, right now 8GB is not enought anymore. As a powersupply i would get a tier 1 or 2 from this list http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html. 550W is enought but look for a better quality one, from what i read the selected PSU by you has some chinesse capacitors inside, and the primary capacitor is rated 85C instead of 105C.

Thanks! Also right now should I go for an AMD rx 580 and the cheaper FreeSync monitor, or the GTX 1060 and a G Sync monitor. If I was to go with the 1060 i would probably invest more money to get a widescreen or 27 inch, even though its alot more.

True, even more those special editions like PowerColor Golden Sample 580 and sapphire nitro all clocking more than 1400Mhz.
