Hello Community,

I'm planning build a RYZEN set with the new AMD CPU 1800X.

In my city, the retailers have only those MoBos :
MSI X370 XPOWER GAMING TITANIUM
MSI X370 GAMING PRO CARBON
MSI X370 SLI PLUS
GIGABYTE GA-AX370-GAMING K5

What do you recommand ?

Thank you for your support

ASRock Taichi. Far away the best if added to your list.

Of your listed boards, the Carbon. None of the others.

In the end, the Taichi is the best all-around board available and highest reviews. I have one and I am partial to it, but for good reason. Research and you may find the same opinion.

MSI X370 XPOWER GAMING TITANIUM - very over priced, really not sure if its worth it

MSI X370 GAMING PRO CARBON - I have it and I love it

MSI X370 SLI PLUS - Only 1 M.2 slot, Only white LEDs behind the board, No shielded ram slots, worse audio chip than the other MSI boards listed.

Not sure about the Gigabyte, I had a B350 Gigabyte board in the beginning and couldnt wait to get rid of it, not heard great things about the Gaming K5 either.

Thank you for your reply. I'm in fact, between the Titanium and the Carbon. What's the main differencies between them ?

Not a lot to be honest, and I really dont think its worth it, the Titanium is the only board in the series with bios flash back, also has onboard power, reset, and one touch OC which personally I wouldnt use, 6+4 VRMs, USB 3.1 header, on board U2 ports, 6 SATA ports which if you're using M.2 or U2 you'll loose some use of, its white, and has some extra aesthetics, extra covers etc and is twice the price.

Same amount of ports etc on the back as the gaming pro carbon, its 8+2 VRMs on the gaming pro carbon, same audio, both support 6 SATA's, 2 x M.2 drives, so you need to ask yourself if you'll ever use any of those extras.

For all the specs I can understand the differencies but for the VRMs ? what's the matter on these ?

The main set of VRM's provide the voltage to the cores, the ones at the top under the smaller heatsink are the SoC ones, they supply the voltage to the SoC / NB / Uncore, the bit around the cores inside the CPU, memory controller etc, they dont need so much as the power draw isnt so demanding as the cores.
