So the title explains it, looking for a solution to my wireless problems. I need something to get me better wireless in my room, its atrocious and there is only one hookup for the router which is in a downstairs corner and my room is upstairs at the opposite corner. I'm worried that a simple extender won't work. My roomate is using the Netgear powerline 1000 but I don't know if that actually boosts to wifi signal to the room or just supplies you with an ether net connection at an outlet to plug in my computer (I need the wifi since I have multiple devices I want to improve). Any suggestions / clarification would be greatly appreciated.
