My graphic card's model is a powercolor AMD R7 265. i would like to ask how much Watts for a psu is required so that my gpu can operate properly.

On its website it states that 500w is a minimum for the AMD R7 265, so im planning to buy a seasonic s12II 520w bronze. But is 520w enough to let me whole set up operate properly? Because im also adding 2 more fans to my set up, 1 output and 1 input fan. What im worried is that the 520w may be enough for the gpu, but after adding in all the other parts it would not be enough? im not too good with these things ;(

My whole setup is as follows
GPU : AMD R7 265
MB : Asus H81M-A 1150
RAM : BK vengeance 2x4gb
CPU : intel i3-4160 3.6GHZ/3MB
PSU (planning to but not yet) : Seasonic s12II 520w
2 Output + 1 input fan

That card will use under 145watts under full load, so a good 400watt psu would power that system just fine. The seasonic 520watt is more than enough, but it is good value regardless. Manufacturers often over estimate the required power supply to account for all the terrible psu's out there that dont make their rated wattage.

When they say "500w minimum" they're saying that a 500 watt PSU should be enough to comfortably run an entire system including the card, while maintaining some capacity to spare so as to not run the PSU right at its limit. Fans don't require much power, typically under 5 watts each. The main power-drawing components in a gaming system under load will typically be the CPU and GPU. In your case, as Dunlop pointed out, your GPU isn't likely to use much more than around 150 watts, and your CPU only needs around 55 watts, so together, they shouldn't draw much more than around 200 watts from the PSU while gaming. Even with the rest of the components thrown in, the PSU isn't going to need to deliver much more than 300 watts with the system at full load. It's not a good idea to to run systems near their PSU's maximum capacity though, and some of those capacities are overstated, so having a 500+ watt PSU is probably best for such a system, or perhaps a high-quality 400+ watt PSU.
