Hi guys,
The backplate of the h55 cooler is not fitting on the motherboard, as there are cylindrical things around the cpu that block the backplate from going onto the motherboard. I am using a 6700k. Corsair states that the H55 is compatible is compatible with 1151 sockets... I am sure I am using the correct backplate (intel).

Did you follow through the installation procedure as outlined in your manual/this video? If you think there is a barrier of understanding, then there's no harm in uploading a picture of what you're seeing as the culprit. Might even turn out that you got the wrong installation hardware bundled in your unit.

The backplate is not fitting onto the motherboard, and without the backplate, the holes align, but I dont know how to secure it.
As you can see, the cylindrical things are blocking the backplate and cooler.

The backplate goes on the bottom of the motherboard not on the top. Those cylinderical things are capacitors and they are on the top of the motherboard.
