Hi I'm looking to build my first pc here in the UK. I have parted out a list aiming for the £800 range. I aim to game and do editing. I am using the website scan as for a little as £20 they offer replacements for any parts I break whilst putting it together. I haven't listed specific parts as the prices have gone way up due to mining when I last checked. I have not included storage as I have
A 250gb samsung ssd and 1tb seagate barracuda.

I5 7400
Gigabyte gaming 3 h270
1x8 gb corsair lpx ddr4
1060 6gb gigabyte g1
Nzxt s340 elite
Evga 450watt b3 80 plus bronze
A be quiet fan to run positive air pressure

I want to know if this is a value build and my money is evenly distributed.
I also wanted some novice building tips

Thanks in advance

I'd wait personally at the minute as the 1060 is currently up to 300 pound where as the 6gb variant is usually as cheap as 170ish gbp. With the extra money you'd get a better cpu.

Thanks but I would prefer Intel because of just a loyalty/trust kinda thing. It sounds stupid I know. But what would be the best upgrade for that. I would preferably not want to overclock

Sigh, I'm just saying, brand loyalty is really pathetic and will get you nowhere :(

If you want to even think about editing and rendering you have to consider an i7 if you're not willing to detach from your brand loyalty. The i5 is not meant for editing and rendering.

I don't see the point go with scan. They seems expensive.
