GPU:nvidia GT 740M
CPU intel i7 4500U
8 GB RAM
128GB SSD
1TB HDD

Also, I can hardly run Battlefield 4 at mid 20's for some reason on SUPER low graphics.

There is some problem (possible with my laptop)
I run paladins at around 80 fps but have drops into mid 30's

the temps are around low 60's and my driver version is 384.76 and btw i run it at 1280x 720 and low, i tried reducing the resolution scaling to 25% and then i get 30-40's but its horribly ugly.

well... as of now im running H1Z1 at my costom res at 1064x768 windowed and full low setting as well as 50% rendering... sometimes i get great fps and suddenly lose it... like 40's to 10-20's. I feel like i should be able to run it better... BF4 is fullscreen. I noticed that my cpu and gpu sometimes (a LOT) randomly lock to 405 mhz at like 67-9 c temp... is that normal? its probaby whats bringing down my preformance. i dont know why but taking the charger out for a while helps then re-inserting it. H1Z1 has worse graphics than that minecraft bullshit literaly and still 20 fps...

your system might have issue with throttling.download intel xtu.once done under monitoring tab there is a small wrench like icon.click that and enable all the throttling tab.then get back with the result

So, i tried playing H1Z1 in windowed 1366x768 at MAX low setting and with 50% rendering and i think i nknow the problem. I got upto 65 fps and when i check the intel Extreme Tuning Ultility, the CPU Usage was around 70% and the GPU usage was 1000 Mhz. BUT the fps dropped after a while and i noticed that the GPU dropped to 600 and the CPU to a mere 30% and got 20 fps. The temp was around 78-80, no more. I ENABLED all the throttling options under the monitoring tab but it only lasted temporarily. Ill try with 1280x720p

Keep in mind, the laptop versions of GPUs are like a grade or two worse than their desktop equilvalents.
Also that i7 is a 2 core 4 thread, so in otherwords an i3, and not only that a rather bad i3 due to low clock speeds.
If you want to keep your CPU at 100% all the time, all you have to do is edit your current Windows Power Plan.
There's an option to change the minimum frequency if you edit the plan/look at the advanced settings.

I have it at 100% at high preformance and their is no difference, something makes my cpu go from 80-95% down to 30-50 which makes me lose frames, even in paladins i sart at 90fps the fall to 20-35fps and i noticed my cpu is at around 20%. I know my cpu is weak but that shouldnt make it go to 50-60% usage right? i can run the games perfectly fine at 80-95% usage. The GPU also drops a lot, it starts at 900-1000 and falls to 400-600. Is their any way i can prevent this?
