Hi, this might work for free. This will, of course, erase everything on the PC first.

This page has a place where you can enter the serial number on your PC and order a recovery disc. Look for the Get Recovery Media section on the page.

THanks so much, I have tried that and wilol try again. It only brings up "no bootable device, restart system. I can't get to where it asks if I want the recovery. Thanks, wish me. luck. I'll probably be back

just a note- When this first happened, I got into recovery, I accidently hit the 2nd one, not the one it suggested. Oops, I know. big time.
