Hi,

Can you guys help me chose a good PC build? The budget is max $1000 CND and I also need a monitor with that.

What is the PC gonna be used for? Mostly gaming, mix of light and heavy gaming but mostly gonna be used for games like LoL, Overwatch and PUBG.

Please add a Win 10 copy in the build too.

For the monitor I'd rather have a 144 Hz monitor. 1440p is preferable but I can settle for 1080p.

Components must be shipped to canada. If you can go lower than $1000 CND that would be great but if it's not possible that's ok too.

Wow the Canadian market is just littered with obnoxious prices.

I'm sorry to tell you that I couldn't fit everything you asked for in your budget. 144Hz just wasn't going to happen if you want a graphics card that can actually put out 60FPS.

Here's what I managed to put together for you:

Please don't get upset that I got you a Pentium instead of an i3. The Pentium G4560 (the one in my list) runs at 3.5GHz, has HyperThreading, and has the same amount of cache as an i3. The only main difference is the lack of AVX instructions. However, I don't think games use this much at all really. I think they're used mostly in 3D modeling and other physics based applications, as well as deep learning applications like Folding@Home.

As for the graphics card and monitor combo, the main barrier was price. I couldn't get you a screen with Gsync unless I went all the way down to 30Hz and I don't think you want that. I got you a screen with FreeSync but didn't manage to squeeze a modern AMD card into your budget bc they're all out of stock bc of the booming Eutherium market. Every miner that has a PC is buying 4 of these cards.

What about getting a "worst" graphic card, I can settle with having some games in mid/high settings in 1080, maybe that money can go into a better cpu or maybe getting a 144hz monitor

I can also go for a not-so-good motherboard

The motherboard is already pretty cheap, so it the Graphics Card. I'd go with the build he suggested or save some more money so you can get a better rig.

Im canadian too and the sweet spot is right around the 1500$ range. You will be able to get an i5 and a better GPU for that price. It would be worth the wait in the end.

Hey, so now the budget is still $1000 but only the PC is needed, that means NO monitor.
If you can get me a decent build for 1080 gaming (idc if it's mid/high settings) I will thank you a lot!
