bios won't post on Asus PRIME Z270-A

CPU: Pentium G4500
motherboard: ASUS Z270-A
RAM 8GB 1 stick
psu; evga supernova g3 gold 1000

I am at the stage of bios post. And I am unable to get it to post. I have tried three power supplies. The power light turns on the fan spins on the processor, but it does post. I'm not using a video card. I have it plugged into onboard video. I checked and I have a compatible RAM. Now, my power supplies are not on the qualified vendors list of devices for this motherboard. Does that matter? I have a mouse plugged into USB and the keyboard USB is plugged in, and I have tried 2 motherboards.

I tried two separate monitors. I'm using a DVI cable..I get a "no signal" message on monitors, so I know they are working.

Have you tested different RAM slots?

Is your ram stick in the right slot?
Most mobo's have a specific slot that single stick configurations have to be in, consult your manual.

1 8gb crucial ballistix BLS8G4D240FSB newegg says this isa newer version of BLS8G4D240FSA.

ASUS COMPATIPLE list says use 8gb crucial BLS8G4D240FSA.

that my problem?

Probably not. The RAM should work. It might be a CPU issue. Is it new, or used?

I figured it out! I did not realize that I had to plug-in both the 28 and 8 pin cables. All I had in was the 28.

ok. But you said the CPU fan did spin. Theoretically, it shouldn't without the 8 pin power cable.
