Is using Nvidia and AMD GPU in the same PC bad idea?

Hi, I'm currently deciding between going with AMD Ryzen AM4 or good old Intel LG1551 based system. It would be a no brainer for me, if Ryzen would have IGP. But unfortunately it doesn't, so I'm looking for dirt cheap passive at least three active digital output GPU to combine it with gtx 1050 (I'd like rx 570/580 more as it has 5 digital outputs, but they are way to expensive now). So I'm wondering if I can combine GTX 1050 with something like sapphire r3 250 without having issues with different GPU drivers? Thanks for replying.

AMD and NVIDIA display drivers on the same system is always a dice-roll of instability issues.

Unfortunately I don't know of any super cheap nvidia cards with 3 digital outputs, maybe find a used 950?

I have found out that Zotac GeForce GT 710 1GB supports 3 displays, but it has only DL-DVI, HDMI and VGA output. Do you think VGA->HDMI or VGA->DP connection is a bad thing (connecting analog output with digital input)?

What are you trying to do? Just hook up 3 displays? What Outputs do you have?

It looks like your card will support 3 screens... Just get the correct ACTIVE adapters

I have to connect at least 7 displays to the setup. 4 would go to gtx 1050 and 3 would be connected to Zotac. Most of dispays have HDMI, DP, DVI-D and VGA inputs (HP ZR24W, HP LP2475, HP ZR2440W) so connecting them should not be a problem. But will picture quality suffer from using VGA output on Zotac?

So you can't use a 2nd 1050? That is a lot of Screen as well. There are set 8 display cards but those get costly. I would think you would need a 2nd 1050 I would try to stay team green or stay AMD.

Also there is DP Daisy Chaining you can look into.

To me looks like DP Chain might be the best. That port is a 1.4 and can support 4 1080p displays. That costs as much as 50 USD. Then you would have 2 more for a total of 6.

VGA has a max Rez better than 1080p

Thanks for your help. I've found a solution. I'll just go with SAPPHIRE GPRO 6200 and Sapphire r3 250. It's basically AMD FirePro W600 with six display support for 1/3 of the AMD price and double ram on top of that. Thank god for Sapphire, AMD FirePro and NVidia Quadro lines are ridiculously overpriced for what they offer.
