i am starting a budget build i currently am running a factory Dell Optiplex 960 and trying to figure out if it would be better to upgrade it or build a better PC from scratch. Anyone have any tips?

Current part list:
processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz x2 ~2992MHz
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 3470
memory: 8gb ddr2
Motherboard: 0Y958C Dell

A $500-$700 budget can get you a solid budget PC with all new parts (though $500 is a bit tricky if you need a new Windows). If you can give us a single budget target and describe your needs and whether you need to include an OS, one of us can put together a build list.

thank you for the fast reply, the only problem with that is i have very little money to actually spend on a PC and honestly my budget is only around $500 to $700 any good budget builds or place to find them?
