I started using my very old px3 again. It was working good and i was satisfied with it. Till it stopped working and only wired mode would work. But that was a no go since thats really uncomfortable. When i realised i only had to pair the headphone to transmitter i was already to late. So how stupid i am i go and download the preset manager when i searched for drivers for px3. In the preset manager it says alot of stuff and factory default headphones. I chose that and guess what my headphone dont do anything anymore, dont charge dont turn on nothing. So I tried connecting it to the preset manager again and it got recognized sometimes not always. I uploaded another default headphones factory settings, and they turned on! Cool but they still didnt work and i could get wired nor wireless mode to work. Now when i try to connect it to the preset manager again its undetected and i cant change anything of the software anymore on the headphones. So the px3 turns on now but wired mode nor wireless mode doesnt work. When i connect it to the pc it shows: Turtle bea and then a bunch of weird letters. Does anyone know if there is still hope for it, since my headphones broke to official software i downloaded from the official site which really pissed me off, like atleast remove the software if its useless and can only break the headphones.
Also it seems like im the only one with this problem. I contracted turtle beach but no response in 2 days now so.

Well consider it broken then, the preset manager doesnt work anymore in 2017, so we kinda broke our headset with official software.

I've had this pair of Turtle Beaches since 2014 and when I got too far out of range, it wasn't happy, disconnected and never left bootloader mode... I tried flashing the factory defaults but they never worked and I bricked the bastards. I was pissed. A few months later and I got sick of listening to my music without all the nice bass and whatever and speaking to people was a pure audio hassle.

To fix:

Install the exe and make sure you keep the xml files handy

Go to C:\turtle beach\presets and dump the xml files in there

Make sure your headset is in bootloader mode and connected; boot up Preset Manager

Make sure the dropdown says Factory Settings or whatever and hit the headset icon next to the big X and not any other option

Be happy because you fixed your rad headset, my dude

Hope that fixed your issues; I'm so <mod edit> happy I got mine working again
I literally couldn't find a better headset than this; I <mod edit> tried, that's for sure

First thing i did was this, it revived my headset from going dead but there was still no sound. I could charge up my headset and stuff now, but it wouldnt go into wired mode nor would the transmitter search for a new headset. And the worst of all, The preset manager is recgonising my headset again, it says no px3 devies connected. So there is no hope left for my headset, still can't believe official software broke my headset....
I searched every corner in the internet and you could try to reset your px3 to factory by clicking the hard reset button on the headset, it is located near the game volume scroll wheel, a small hole, if you push something inside and feel button you can reset it, but dont push to far else you missed the button and it entered the headphones and can break it. This still didnt work for me, so rip PX3 headset

HOW I FIXED MY HEADSET AFTER UPLOADING PRESET it was simple for me just pair your headset again in case you don't have the instructions to the headset anymore i'll copy the instructions "Step 1: Make sure the headset is OFF (The LED on the Headset should be OFF)
Step 2: Press and hold the power button on the Headset for more than 6 seconds. A tone will sound and the LED on the Headset will begin to blink rapidly
Step 3: Press and hold the PAIR button on the Transmitter for 3 seconds. The LED on the Transmitter will begin to blink rapidly.

After a few second, the LED on the Transmitter should be solid and the Headset LED should be blinking about once per second, indicating that the units are paired.
Exit Pairing: A single press on the Headset power button will exit the pairing process. -Faded Ghost
