Will my monitor display my desktop if I uninstall my graphics card drivers?

I want to roll back the drivers on the possibility that it will let me run Watch Dogs 2 since the new NVidia drivers are making it crash. A fresh install seems to be the best way as rolling it back from device manager didn't do the job. I don't want to wait for a new driver update because I want to try the game so I can get a refund if I don't like it. So will I still be able to see my desktop without the drivers?

Yes, if you uninstall your video card drivers windows will run on generic VGA drivers.
After that you can install the previous version of your nVidia drivers.
Don't attempt to run VGA drivers for a game. You MUST install real drivers for games to run.
Also, the resolution and a other video items may be limited when using generic VGA drivers.

Didn't plan to lol
Thanks for the info. I am going to download the hotfix driver they recently released and I'll see if that works. If not then roll back it is.
