I'm primarily a pc tech, but have worked on some tv's before. Normally when the screen itself is broken... it's hard to find a matching part. When a part is actually available, it's usually a bit pricey(unlike laptop screens).
It's a matter of not just finding the right size/resolution, but that it has the same PIN configuration and is located in the same place as the original. You will have to disassemble the tv to get the part # off of the back of the screen.
That and almost 100% of the time, you'll have to take out all the screws from the back of TV and then remove the rear housing. After that, then you start to remove the interior boards(main board, power supply, etc) before finally being able to get the screen out.
