Hi, so I just sold my older AMD R9 390, and I'd like to get a 1080ti, but I was wondering what do you think would be the best brand to buy? I've used MSI in the past, but I wanted to know if there is a better option that provides better performance or cooling.

All of the non-blower style cards are all the same. Some will have better clock speeds and a little better cooling, but that may only equate to a couple of FPS difference in a game. I put mine on water because I am a junkie, but in reality an EVGA SC will look exactly the same on a game as an EVGA FTW. The only time you will see a difference is when you are looking at a bench mark score.

I would get whatever is on sale and not look back.

Go with what feelinfroggy said. Most after-market coolers are normally the same. Personally, I would go with MSi since I've never been ripped by them before. Personal opinion though.
