So I am try to save money while try to upgrade this these two pc builds. So are Fx CPU cores still good gaming? I am thinking of replacing this FM2+ AMD - A6-7400K 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor
With AM3+ AMD - FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor.

Is good idea to jump to FX CPUs cores?

I honestly think the 7100 is dumb chip. I would go with the G4560. You also overspending on that GPU..$114? Grab a GTX 1050 Ti instead.

It's decent for gaming. But like I always say: More cores, cahce, threads, and it should be able to handle gaming with ease. However. you are upgrading to a dead end. It's like upgrading from a bicycle to a motorcycle, but you can still only go to the same step sign as the bicycle. I would recommend you save your money, and invest it in some new hardware, or maybe a new GPU.

EDIT: As coozie7 stated, you will need another motherboard as well. You should just jump to modern standards, and call it a day.

If it's for gaming you'll be better off saving longer and moving up to a more modern platform but we really need to know the current system specs, your budget and system uses before we can give any meaningful advice.

In the meantime, you can't put an AM3+ CPU into an FM2 motherboard, they're not compatible.

Edited my post after it went up...Getting old...Sigh...
TBH you'll be better off looking elsewhere, in most games the Intel i3s' beat the FX 8xxx series so unless you're using the system to run thread/core intensive applications your hard earned cash will be better spent on a full CPU/MB/RAM upgrade-assuming the rest of the system can keep up, that is.

I have to add to this by saying that a skylake pentium G4440 can outperform a FX-8350.

A lot will depend on what games the OP is playing, in single/dual threaded/core games yes, I'm not so sure the little Pentium can keep up with CPU/thread intensive titles like BF1 but your point is well made, Herc08.
However, I fully agree about the GTX1050Ti, it's streets ahead of the RX550.

I thought the Rx 550 was newer then Gtx 1050 TI.

It depends on what games you want to play. If they are older games, no problem!.. If it's the latest, greatest... then there could be a problem. For instance, Forza Horizon 3(my nephew wanted this game). His system is an i5-4690k w/ 16gb ddr3 and a gtx 960. The game runs terribly.. granted, the gpu isn't the greatest.

Keep in mind that the FX-9590 just barely outperforms the i5-4690k

It is, but it is still a weak card as other components are at play. If you could only afford a GTX 1050, then I would probably say get teh 550, but still the 4GB is a waste because the card will probably only use 2GB at the most.

I never heard of FX 9590 before I thought the FX 8350 was the last one

Well for me I dont care what graphics card I get. After having little GT 730 or Gt 430. Any else better then those two cards

Forget about any FX 9xxx cpus. 220 Watts, expensive motherboard required, require water cooling, some folks have to under clock just to run stable.

I would recommend going to a Ryzen 5,3, or a Ryzen 7. You can get a Ryzen motherboard for $67 and a ryzen 5 1400 for $165. Another option is to get get a ryzen 3 which is cheaper but im not sure if it is better than what you already have but it probably is.
