these gluttonous bastards are stealing our graphics cards. literally every last bit of them. not a single nvidia or AMD graphics card can be found online or on the shelves of a store. they either just do not exist or they are being sold and ridiculous prices. the real gamers are being screwed over because we can't even upgrade our 2-4 year old cards that can barely run games or even function. i can't even describe how screwed over i feel because of this mess. does anyone have any idea when the stocks will be fixed? :/

Personally, I'd hope that the card manufacturers can ramp up production to accommodate both the miners and gamers, or those like me who do both. If however, you are feeling abused by the recent mining boom, I would say to just keep watching for deals. This recent boom might subside, but it could be just the beginning of a prolonged trend. More and more companies and governments are beginning to get involved with cryptocurrencies and this should only serve to increase and stabilize their values.

Right now it looks like the big Bitcoin kerfuffle around August 1st is going to be a major indicator as to if this recent mining craze is going to pop or at least linger for a while.
nope, and anybody who claims to know something about when prices will fall back to a reasonable price is speculating or has inside knowledge somehow. Just remember, if/when Etherium goes down, there's going to be a ton of used mid - high end cards that go for low prices.

Also, I hate to be that guy, but they aren't stealing them, they just aren't using them for gaming. That's like complaining that there aren't any 2016 or 2017 new cars that you can buy to commute to work because people are buying them to race. Know what I mean?

if only graphics cards or computers in general could last as long as a well-made car :D

True enough, but you don't spend 16,000 USD on a new 1080ti anyway. lol
