Internet speed question

I currently have 300mbps from time warner (now spectrum) but they are charging me 100 bucks a month and I never seem to get speeds any higher than 130mbps. I am trying to decide weather or not I should chose a different ISP, but the only other option I have out here is Frontier, which only provides a 7 mbps dedicated line. Is it even worth for me to switch with such slower speeds?

If you're testing this from a WiFi connected system, that is almost certainly the problem.

Any speed test needs to be run from a wired system. WiFi introduces too many issues on its own.

1. Google internet search for speed test. pick the options built into google.

2. My consoles are wired but everything else is wireless.
